WINFIELD-Harold Lester Conard, 83, of rural Winfield, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 at First Presbyterian Church in Winfield with the Rev. Elwin Colson officiating. Burial will be in Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Winfield VFW and American Legion.

Alice Batterson, 85, of Kalona, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Pleasantview Home.      No visitation or services are planned. Mrs. Batterson's body has been donated to the Anatomy Department of University of Iowa Hospitals. Burial will be at a later date in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona.

Ruth K. Robinson, 93, of Alpha, Ill., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died on Thursday, March 13, 2003.      A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. David Plooster of the First Baptist Church officiating. The cremains will be buried in the Garrison Chapel Cemetery in Tennyson, Ind.
