John E. DeVore, 73, of Biloxi, Miss., formerly of Columbus Junction, died due to complications from an extended illness on Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at the Biloxi V.A. Medical Center.      The graveside committal service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 in Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established.

Blanche Howsare Wells, 94, of New London Nursing and Rehab Center in New London, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Winfield, Wyman, Crawfordsville and Iowa City, died at 11:55 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at the nursing home.      The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today at Weir Funeral Home with the Rev. Janet R. Bell, 81, died on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 at Sunrise of Carmel in Carmel, Ind.      The memorial service will be in Mt. Pleasant. There will be no visitation. Louella A. Boshears, 69, of Lincoln, Ill., died at 7:01 a.m. on February 21, 2003, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.      A graveside service in Mt. Pleasant will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated. There will be no visitation. A memorial may be made to the donor's choice.

June Barnett, 88, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at the Henry County Health Center following declining health.The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Kenneth H. Sutcliffe, 67, of Danville since January, formerly of Wapello, died on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at his home.      The memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the chapel. A memorial has been established for his children's college education.
