Vera E. Chapman, 90, of Keota, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, following a brief illness.      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with the Rev. Mary Horras officiating. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.

WELLMAN - Asnath Maudie Slagle, 86, of Wellman, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, following a lengthy illness      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Wellman Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Leonard "Bud" Charles Flood, 75, of Edgewood, N.M. died on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at his home.      The memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lovelace Hospice, 5403 Gibson Blvd. SE, Siesta Hills Center, Albuquerque, N.M. 87108. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hillcrest Funeral Home in Albuquerque.

Ruth Slater Lovelock, 80, of New London, formerly of Leesburg, Fla., died at 1:35 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center in New London.      There will be no formal services. The body has been cremated. Elliott Chapel of New London is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Emily Brown, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at the Burlington Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with family present from 9 to 10 a.m. Friends

Clyde A. Lamb, 86, of Chariton, died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Lucas County Health Center in Chariton.      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Christian Church in Chariton, with burial in Chariton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials have been established for the Christian Church and Hospice of Southern Iowa.

Mabel K. Bontrager, 89, of Keokuk, formerly of the Wayland area, died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at the Great River Medical Center Klein Center in Burlington after a lengthy illness.      The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Eicher Mennonite Cemetery with Dr. Richard Wong officiating.
