COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Pearl Blake, 97 of Concord, Calif., and formerly of Letts, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at her daughter's home in Concord, Calif.      Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Cedar Bethel Cemetery in rural Letts. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established for Hospice of Contra Costa.

Edith A. Wade, 81, of Kalona, and formerly of Washington, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services were held today at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial was in Gingerich Cemetery north of Kalona. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

RICHLAND - Everett Spanier, 83, of Fairfield, and formerly of Packwood, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at First Christian Church in Packwood, with the Rev.
