Kyle Elijah Tobin, a newborn, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, of complications following birth at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.      There will be private family services at a later date. A general memorial has been established, and Jones-Eden Funeral Home of Washington is in charge of the arrangements.

Kevin Gary Swart, 37, of Ainsworth, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Iowa City.      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, with the Rev. Ann Rouse officiating. The burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery, and following the services at the cemetery, a luncheon will be held at United Presbyterian

Russell 'Speedy' Carruthers, 83, of Keosauqua died Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 2002 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident for the past 4 months.      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2002 at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev.
