Desiree Osier and Brandon Schmitter, of Batavia, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Meadow Aleah Schmitter, on Jan. 24, 2017, at Henry County Health Center.She weighed five pounds, 14 ounces, and was 18-inches long at birth.She was welcomed home by her siblings, Chasity, Sophia and Kenzie Schmitter.

Terry Lee Collins, 52, of rural Mt. Pleasant, died suddenly at his home, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002.      His body will be transported from Beatty Funeral Home to the Striffer and Hamby Funeral Home in Columbus, Ga., for the funeral service and burial in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
