COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Earl Johnson, 81, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at his residence.      Funeral services were held today at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Burial with military honors was in Columbus City Cemetery.

RICHLAND - Don Greiner, 68, of Albia, and formerly of Richland, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albia, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland, with the Rev. Charles J. Fladung and the Rev. Wilbur Morfitt officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Richland.

COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Doris Reva Snyder, 97, of Columbus Junction, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Wapello Care Center in Wapello.      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Linda Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Warren Billingsley Hayes, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, and formerly of California, died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at his residence, following his battle with cancer.      A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Iowa Wesleyan College.

IOWA CITY - Bob "Red" Ihrig, 74, of Iowa City, died at his home Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, following a brief illness.      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, with the Rev. Judy Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A memorial fund has been established.

Michael Kevin Heitmeier, 50, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on January 4th, 2017, at 12:31 a.m., at Bay Front Medical Center Hospice, due to battling a lengthy fight against cancer.Mike was born on February 16th, 1966. Denning, 83, of Houghton, died at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at West Point Care Center in West Point.      The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, at St. John Catholic Church in Houghton with the Rev.
