Mildred Martin Spurgeon, 75, of Fort Madison, formerly of the Augusta/Wever area, died at her home Friday, Sept. 28, 2001.      The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Mike Meyer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established.
