Frances Catherine Washburn, 64, of Fort Madison, died at 5 a.m. May 31, 2001, in her home, after an extended illness. The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 4 at the Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison with the Rev. Earl Beal officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. Visitation was Sunday at the chapel. A memorial has been established.
