TUCSON, Ariz. - Lona Brown, 58, of Tucson, Ariz., died Monday, Aug. 13, following a lengthy illness.      A private service for family and friends was held Sunday, Aug. 19. Memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Brown's memory to Carondelet Hospice, 1802 West St. Mary's Road, Tucson, AZ 85745.

Thomas Edwin Hoskins, 74, of Richland, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.Funeral services were held today at Woolson Friends Church south of Richland, with the Rev. Ned VanNostrand officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. An education scholarship will be established in his memory.

Muriel L. Messel, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 1 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Van Vorhies Haus in Mt. Pleasant.      The funeral service will in Bicknell, Ind., early next week. Local visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Mt. Claude W. Adkisson, 92, of Donnellson, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Donnellson Health Center.      The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Sharon Presbyterian Church in rural Farmington, with the Rev. Laurence W. Gohn, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt.Pleasant with the Rev.
