LONE TREE - William "Bill" Pearson, 90, of Lone Tree, died May 31, 2001, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a brief illness. Funeral services were held today, at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree. The Rev. Ann Rouse officiated. Burial was in the Lone Tree Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue Squad.

Eva Mae Ashby, 84, of Lincoln, Neb., died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Lincoln, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held today at St. Mark's United Methodist Chapel in Lincoln. Burial of her ashes will be in Pilotsburg Cemetery in Wellman at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 9. A memorial fund has been established for heart or cancer associations.
