Elizabeth I. Shafer, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at Henry County Health Center. Funeral arrangements are pending at Weir Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Barbara Ann Davis, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, and formerly of Bonaparte, died on Tuesday, March 8, in Iowa City.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, in New London. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m., with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the service.A memorial has been established.

Jimmie L. Shannan, 68, of Fairfield, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Paul Katsion officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral with burial at a later date. Visitation will begin Thursday, May 10 with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

G. Pauline Remick, 71, of Winfield, died on Wednesday morning, May 9, 2001, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at the Winfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. WELLMAN - Dorothy Durian Rugg, 88, of Wellman, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at the Scandia Care Center in Sister Bay, Wis., following a lengthy illness.      Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 13, in the Wellman Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Fort, 70, of Pleasantville, died of cancer Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.      The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7 at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville with burial in Lincoln cemetery near Knoxville. A memorial has been established to St. Paul?s United Methodist Church.

Peggy Turner, 90, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died on Thursday, May 3, 2001.      Mrs. Turner?s body has been cremated. Private burial will be in the Turner family plot in Forest Home Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant.
