Bill Fort, 70, of Pleasantville, died of cancer Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.      The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7 at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville with burial in Lincoln cemetery near Knoxville. A memorial has been established to St. Paul?s United Methodist Church.

Peggy Turner, 90, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died on Thursday, May 3, 2001.      Mrs. Turner?s body has been cremated. Private burial will be in the Turner family plot in Forest Home Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant.

Helen R. Kelly, 78, of Brighton, died Sunday May 6, 2001, at the Washington County Hospital in WashingtonFuneral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday May 10, 2001 at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.

Dorothy M. Whitcomb, 85, of Polk City, died May 2, 2001, of pneumonia at CLC in Polk City.      The funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines, arranged by Hamilton Funeral Home.
