Mabel L. Downey, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 12:46 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2001, at her home.      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. David Plooster officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the funeral home with no family visitation.
