Lillian Doris Monson, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.      The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at the Chapel of the Beatty Funeral Home with Dr. Edward Peterson of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. GRINNELL - Mary L. Alsip, 88, of Grinnell, and formerly of Washington, died Thursday, Jan. 11, at Mayflower Health Care Center in Grinnell of respiratory failure.      Her body was deeded to Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Grinnell. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Lone Tree, also at a later date.
