Ethel L. VanTrump, 93, formerly of Moline, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at St. Anthony?s Continuing Care Center in Rock Island, Ill. Ila Mae Kyle of Salem, Ore., died Dec. 22, 2000. Mrs. Kyle was the daughter of George and Leola Hotle. She married William D. Kyle. She is survived by one son, Larry Kyle of Oregon; three daughters, Georgia Judd, Mary Lynn Long and Caroline Bailey, all of Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Werner M. Lowry of Washington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janice Rowe Bates, 63, died on Dec. 21, 2000, in Houston, Texas. The funeral service was held in Houston on Dec. 28. Mrs. Bates was born June 20, 1937, in Burlington, the daughter of William and Edna Rowe. She was a flight nurse for Life Flight at Hermann Hospital.
