James Edward Starman, 66, of Lansing, Kan., died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at his home.      The body has been cremated. Interment of the cremains will be 10 a.m. April 28 at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by the Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Kan.

Dena Fern Chadwick-Rime, 83, of New London, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Clark County Hospital in Osceola.      The graveside service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the La Plata Cemetery in La Plata, Mo. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the family present from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial has been established.

RIVERSIDE - Duane P. (Big Tires) Schnoebelen, 47, of Riverside, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Mark Swanson officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery in rural Riverside. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today

KALONA - Ada K. Shetler, 62, of Kalona, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at her daughter's home in rural Kalona, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, at the Fairview Mennonite Church in rural Kalona, with the Rev. John Hershberger and Rev. Perry Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. today until noon on Thursday

Verna L. Christner, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 10:50 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001, at the Mapleleaf Health Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.      The funeral service was 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Glen Richard officiating.
