Pleasant.The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, at Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Novella Rose Hess, 84, of rural Washington County, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at the Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Alvin David Miller, 75, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, July 9, 1999, at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant, following a brief illness.

Elizabeth Fangman Deters, 88, of Seneca, Kan., died Monday, July 5, 1999, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, transferred there from Country View Estates where she had been a resident since November 1998. She was the mother of Doris Grilliott of Mt. Pleasant.The Mass of Christian burial was Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. A rosary was said Thursday at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
