Police investigate another hit-and-run accident
There has been a rash of hit-and-run accidents in the past month in Mt. Pleasant, the latest occurring Oct. 29 on East Monroe Street, near its intersection with Haynes Street.According to the police report, a 2012 Ford Focus, owned by Kayla Moorman, Des Moines, was legally parked facing west on Monroe Street.An unknown vehicle struck the rear end of the Focus and left the scene.
