Who wants pancakes?
The Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Club hosted a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast March 26 and 27, at the Wright Family Pavilion during the Greater Iowa Swap Meet. All the proceeds from the breakfast will go to helping local children in the community.

Promoting kids? fitness
Hy-Vee has a new program ? Kidsfit ? which does exactly what it implies, promotes fitness. The Mt. Pleasant Hy-Vee hosted its first such event Thursday in front of its store for all Mt. Pleasant fifth- and sixth-graders. The event included a nutrition component, various fitness challenges, team building and pointers on how to safely exercise.
