Three Veterans Day observances scheduled
Three Veterans Day observances are planned in Henry County this week.In addition to the annual county program Saturday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Hall, 300 W. Monroe St., Mt. Pleasant, two school districts will have assembly programs on Friday, Nov. 10. Winfield-Mt. Union's event will be at 9 a.m. in the big gym. Partyrockers
Iowa Wesleyan Chapel was filled to the brim with talent Saturday night during the Lip Sync Battle, which was presented by Main Street Mt. Pleasant. Eight acts took the stage, including two from the university. IW Diverse Motown Dancers took the top prize, while IW Partyrockers grabbed second place.Above, the IW Partyrockers took a selfie with their second place trophy.

County to use new equipment for election next week
