After oversight, Winfield resuming billing golf course for water use

MPCHS student pinned between cars in parking lot
A Mt. Pleasant High School student was briefly pinned between two cars Oct. 6 in the school's parking lot.According to the police department's accident report, by the time officers arrived, the car had been moved, no one was pinned and there were no life-threatening injuries.Wayne Klopfenstein was the pinned student and suffered injuries to his leg. Fire severely damages MP home
A house at 106 N. White St. in Mt. Pleasant sustained major damage Thursday night from a fire. According to Mt. Pleasant Fire Chief Stewart Kinney, the fire, which started in the back of the residence, was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Kinney said the fire was caused by an overheated clothes dryer in the rear of the home.
