Damage
A tree limb fell on a home at 1101 North Perry, in Mt. Pleasant. The tree was reportedly struck by lightning Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. According to beaconbeta.com, the home is owned by Linda Pohren.

Hot run
Temperatures in the 90s didn?t stop runners from competing in the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department?s first-ever 5K run June 17. Over 60 runners competed in the event. Above, and a pair of runners finishing the course. The run began at the fire department and ended on the east side of the city square.
