New sweeper

Keeping the road warm
?Blankets? are placed in the road bed remaining to be paved yet this year on North Iris Avenue. Construction crews are hoping for a few days of moderate temperatures so the street can be paved. The remainder of the project (south from the railroad tracks to Washington Street) will be done next spring. Wet summer weather prevented the project from being finished this year.

Slippery road conditions lead to accident
On Nov. 13, 2014, at approximately 5:41 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle accident with injury. The accident occurred in the 200 block of N. Wilson St., according to police reports.Brent Keaster, of Mt. Supervisors meet Monday
Due to the observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Henry County supervisors moved their meeting to Monday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. in the Henry County Courthouse.Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss will give his weekly report and the supervisors will canvass the Nov. 4 general election.Supervisors will also be at the ISAC meetings on Thursday so will meet just Monday next week.

Pekin boys, girls hit the ground running at Lake Keomah
