Festivities at Waterworks Park planned for July 4

Fire
Fairfield Fire Department investigated an alarm at Logan Apartments at 6:39 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters reset the alarm and returned to the station at 6:58 a.m.Firefighters responded to 2155 Pine Ave. at 4:56 p.m. Saturday for a valve that popped off a 1,000 gallons propane tank. Firefighters cooled the tank with water hoses, determined the valve on the tank was bad, and returned to the station by 5:50 p.m.
