New construction will impact parking at Henry County Health Center
Henry County Health Center will begin preparation for the Surgery Department construction this week. Patients and visitors will be impacted in the following ways:? Beginning today (Oct. 8) at 5 p.m. the Frontage Road (the street that runs between the health center and the parking lot) will be closed and barricades will be set up on Tuesday. Red Flaggers
Henry and Washington counties hosted their first Red Flag Horseless Carriage Tour last week with the grand finale being the tour from New London to Brighton Saturday. In the photo, one of the vehicles needed a little push in New London to get going (the vehicle was unable to complete the tour).

Board to open bids for lights installation
Henry County supervisors will open bids for installation of lights at the community service building during their regular meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Henry County Courthouse.Other tentative agenda items include making a decision on whether the patient advocate position is a contract position or a county employee.Supervisors also will receive an update on secondary roads from County Engineer Bill Belzer.

Washington Street project in home stretch
The end is in sight.Reconstruction work on Washington Street is nearly completed.
