Whee!
Oh, to be 2 years old and able to enjoy the simple pleasure of going down a slide. There were many children at the Partners for Play playground at O.B. Nelson Park this morning, among them little Pixie Liles and her 3-year-old brother, Rhyat from Batavia. Their mom said she had brought the children to play Monday when they were in town. They had such a good time they returned to town today just to play.

The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a call at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at 604 S. Second St. Power wires going into the house burned in half. Fire fighters investigated, shut down the electrical main breaker and advised Alliant.

Fairfield residents could see increase in water rates

Bike ride
