Festeburg comes to Mt. Pleasant to perform at worship services
Festeburg, a group of nine male student musicians from Wartburg College in Waverly, will be in concert in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, Jan. 18, beginning during the worship service at 5:30 p.m at First United Methodist Church and will also perform on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 9:45 a.m at the First Presbyterian Church.

Copper has cured my joint pain

OT beer tent a disappointment
To the editor:As a native of Mt. Pleasant, I don't know who I'm more disappointed with: the City Council or the Old Threshers Board, for their decision to allow beer sales at the reunion. Threshers was one of the last bastions that did not allow alcohol at their family-friendly functions. Why must we have alcohol at gatherings in order to have a good time?
