The annual Swedish Lucia celebration was as held in the Swedish American Museum, in Swedesburg, the evening of Monday, Dec. 12. Lucia was portrayed by Anna Beckman, a sophomore at Mt. Pleasant High School. She is the daughter of Roger and Marjorie Beckman, of Mt. Pleasant, all pictured above. Beckman?s great-grandparents came from Sweden to this area in the late 1800s.
