PAMELA R. (VAN SICKLE) PUTNAM
Fairfield
Pamela R. (Van Sickle) Putnam, loving wife, mother, memaw, sister, aunt and dear friend too many, departed from this world on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the age of 66.
Pamela was born on June 16, 1954, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Phyllis (Disney) Van Sickle and the late Lyle Van Sickle. On September 25, 1981, Pamela married the love of her life, Allen E. Putnam, and within her marriage she had three loving sons: Bradley (Stephanie), Clinton (Donna), and William (Tarra), and four beautiful grandchildren: Colton, Elliot, Dominic, and Adelynn (born Feb 4th). She is also survived by three sisters, "Peggy" (Doug Fairchild), Cindy (Dennis Campbell) Vivian (the late Ed Newman) and her brother, Alan (Teresa), (all AKA: "Singing Sickles"), numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
Pamela was a warm, loving woman, whose contagious laugh could turn even the hardest days into the brightest days. Pamela will be remembered most for her kind heart and unconditional love. She could light up any room. While Pam will be remembered by some as an avid quilter and crafter, she will be most remembered for her generosity, creativity and thoughtfulness. She spent her entire career as a nurse and mentor in the medical field in many capacities which was a perfect fit for her nurturing spirit. She was recognized by Congress for her work in the advancements of electronic medical records. Pam always put others first and would go out of her way to help others before herself. She adored her family and grandchildren. Pamela was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first granddaughter, whom was born the next day. While we are saddened by her loss, we celebrate her life and cherish the memories we've shared with her.
A life so selflessly lived deserves to be remembered. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, her family has elected to postpone her celebration of life at this time. The family has established a memorial fund in her honor. Details for her future celebration of life and memorial fund can be found at www.PamelaPutnam.com.
Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is assisting her family.
