Pamela Sue Briggs, 72, of Howell, Mich., passed away peacefully late Monday evening, Aug 5, 2019. Born on Feb. 1, 1947, in Fairfield,

Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and the late Juanita C. (Orris) Hutton. Formerly of Fairfield, Iowa, and New Berlin, Wis., Pamela has resided in the Howell, Mich., area for the past 20 years. Pamela was a 1965 graduate of Fairfield (Iowa) High School and earned a bachelor degree in education from Northeast Missouri State University. She went onto be a public school teacher, personal banker, homemaker and was a member of the Pinckney Congregational United Church of Christ.

Beloved wife of 52 years to John F. Briggs whom she married on May 20, 1967, in Fairfield, Iowa. Loving mother of Sean (Amanda) Briggs of New Market, Ala., and Jeffery (Rachel) Briggs of Warrenton, Mo. Proud grandmother of Roy, Cade, Alice, Sawyer and Jolie. Also survived by her siblings, Steve (Linda) Hutton of Fishers, Ind., and Rebecca (Jeff) Sullivan of Olathe, Kan.

A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date in Iowa. Interment will take place in the McCleary-Sand Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Iowa.
