Patricia Ann Remington, 66, of Brighton, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, the result of an automobile accident. She was born November 15, 1954, in Osceola, IA, to Marvel John and Dorothy Marie (Bailey) Babberl. She grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Russell High School in 1972. Pat was united in marriage to Larry J. Remington on June 2, 1973, in Russell. They were the proud parents of three children: Angela Kay, Travis John, and Brandy Jo. Larry passed away on July 1, 2004. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, writing poems and stories, and she attended the First Church of God in Brighton. Pat was a long-time employee of Cobb Oil Company in Brighton and a newspaper correspondent for area newspapers.

Pat is survived by her children, Angela (Tony) Garmoe of Mt. Pleasant, Travis (Jamie) Remington of Cosby, TN, and Brandy (Chris) Poli of Waukee; four grandchildren, Cody (Mackenzie) Remington of Rose Hill, James and Christopher Garmoe, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Coraline Remington of Cosby, TN; three sisters, Kathy Babberl of Chariton, Pam (Bill) Mogensen of Dickson, TN, and Kim Babberl of Clive; and sister-in-law, Jenny Babberl of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Mike Babberl; and sister, Cindy Nation.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, private family services will be held. Memorials to the Brighton Volunteer First Responders or the Brighton First Church of God may be mailed to the family c/o Brandy Poli, 790 SE Glendale Drive, Waukee, IA 50263. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
