Patricia D. Jennings

Patricia D. Jennings, 71, of 2252 Dakota Ave., Mt. Pleasant, died at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at Calvary Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant with Mr. Guy Sammons and the Rev. Jeffery Crawford and the Rev. Roy Draper officiating. Interment will be held in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2000 at Weir Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. Memorials have been established to the Mt. Pleasant Public Library, the Rome Baptist Church or the Crossroads Hospice.

Mrs. Jennings was born on Jan. 29, 1929 at Hinsdale, Ill. to Earl and Macel Messer O'Hare. On Feb. 16, 1946 at Ottumwa, she married Ralph E. Jennings, who survives. She graduated from the Mt. Pleasant Community High School in 1946 and worked nine years at Emerson Electric in Mt. Pleasant. She worked the last 28 years at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library until her health failed. She was a member of the Rome Baptist Church and an area quilting and sewing club.

She is survived by her husband of rural Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Maycle (Mrs. Larry) Kindig of rural Mt. Pleasant; a granddaughter, Deborah (Mrs. Greg) Perrott of Mt. Pleasant; a grandson, Larry Kindig, Jr. of rural Mt. Pleasant; one great-granddaughter, RaeAnn Perrott of Mt. Pleasant; and three great-grandsons ? Nelson Perrott of Mt. Pleasant and Drew and Dustine Kindig - both of rural Mt. Pleasant. She is preceded in death by one daughter - Diane Jennings.
