Patricia L. Willis

      Patricia L. "Pat" Willis, 77, of rural Mt. Pleasant and the Lockridge community, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at her home.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Monte Knudson and Pastor Mike Furlong officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery at Rome.

      Patricia was born April 19, 1930, on the family farm in rural Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of William S. and Florence M. White Millspaugh. She married Dale Willis on December 27, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant.

      She worked as a nurse at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, retiring in 1995. She belonged to the Mt. Pleasant Moose and was a manager of the club for a number of years, achieving all three levels of the club. She loved to be outside.

      Patricia is survived by her husband; three daughters, Cheryl L. Brady of Fairbanks, Alaska, Terrie L. Howell of Mt. Pleasant, and Roberta D. Furlong of Calif; one son, William T. Willis of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mary Anderson of Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

      Her parents and one sister, Ruth Ann Kitchen, have preceded her in death.
