Patricia N. Cox
Patricia N. Cox, 70, of Burlington, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Visitation will be after noon Thursday, Oct. 12, at Lunning Chapel with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery of Burlington. A memorial has been established.
Mrs. Cox was born June 1, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Fred O. and Virginia Hannah Perrenoud. She married Maston W. Cox on July 12, 1953, in Winfield. A 1948 graduate of Winfield High School, she worked in the Burlington Public School system for 20 years, also working part-time at Younkers for 20 years and at Sylvania for ten years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pi Ru Zeta Sorority, Ladies Moose Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She was active in Boy Scouts for over 15 years and received the Silver Fawn Award. She loved sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include two sons, Darwin M. Cox and his wife Linda of Moore, Okla. and Darryl E. Cox and his wife Lori of Burlington; a sister, Elizabeth ?Betty? Bourn and her husband Norman of Burlington; a brother, John A. Perrenoud of Farley; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
