Patrick W. Meeker, 54, of North Liberty, Iowa, formerly of Durant, Iowa, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 21, 2020, at his home.

Patrick was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on February 20, 1966, to Gary and Merna (Brill) Meeker.

He graduated from Knoxville Baptist High School in 1984 and from Hamilton Technical College in 1994. Patrick married Lisa A. Schuett on August 29, 1992, in Durant, Iowa.

Patrick was employed at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as radiology engineer.

He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant and was currently attending Grace Community Church in North Liberty.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling and watching movies. Above all, he loved his family and friends and cherished spending time with them.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, IA. The family request masks be worn, and social distancing guidelines be adhered to.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in the Durant Cemetery.

Patrick is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Lisa; daughters, Kayla and Laura Meeker, all of North Liberty; his parents, Gary and Merna Meeker of Davenport; sister, Melissa Meeker of Bettendorf; and his mother and father-in-law, David and Marcia Schuett of Durant.

He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Meeker; and his grandparents.

Memorial contributions may be made to City of Hope for cancer research.
