Paul Edward Martin

      MT. PLEASANT - Paul Edward Martin, 82, formerly of rural Fairfield, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Kavanaugh House in Des Moines.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Eicher Mennonite Church, northeast of Wayland, with the Rev. Dennis St. Lawrence and the Rev. Herb Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Eicher Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon, Tuesday, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Central Iowa, Grace Baptist Church of Chariton and Eicher Mennonite Church.

      Mr. Martin was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 23, 1922, to John A. and Dena (Koehler) Martin. On Feb. 12, 1944, he married Anna Mae Graber at Eicher Mennonite Church.
