Paul Grouwinkel

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION-Paul Grouwinkel, 98, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Following services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Wapello Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Columbus Junction United Methodist Church.

      Mr. Grouwinkel was born on Sept. 5, 1905, in Louisa County, to William Henry and Rachael (Deppy) Grouwinkel. On June 12, 1931, he married Frances Josephine Barnes in Nashua.
