Paul Rembold

Paul O. Rembold, 83, of Wayland, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, in the Parkview Home in Wayland.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Washington, with the family receiving friends two hours prior to the service. Memorials may be designated to Hospice of Washington County. Beatty-Peterseim Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with the arrangements.

Mr. Rembold was born June 10, 1932, in Strawberry Point, the son of E.W. ?Cap? and Hazel (Carpenter) Rembold. He married Shirley Conklin on Nov. 17, 1962, in Kahoka, Missouri.

He attended Cosgrove High School and worked construction.

Surviving are four children, Debra Stauffer of St. Louis, Missouri, Linda Matthews and husband Jack of Ballwin, Missouri, Craig ?Weiner? Rembold and wife Dana of Washington, and Sarah Berndt and husband Kenny of Wayland; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Rembold and wife Marie of Modesto, California, and Chris Rembold and wife Doris of Louisburg, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley, on July 21, 2014; two brothers, Arthur, and Herbert; and two sisters, Doris, and Jettie.
