Paula E. Richardson

SIGOURNEY ? Paula Elaine Richardson, 67, of Coralville, died Friday, June 26, 2015, at her daughter?s home in Bettendorf.

Celebration of life service will be at noon, Thursday, July 2, at the Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time, Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude Children?s Hospital.

Mrs. Richardson was born July 3, 1947, in Fairfield, the daughter of Donald and Lucille (Hutton) Gott.

She graduated from Pekin High School and AIB. She worked as a medical secretary at the University of Iowa Hospitals in the Neurosurgery Department. She was a member of the Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and was the choir director. She also was a Red Cross volunteer. She served in the Naval Reserve from 1980 to 1986. She enjoyed dancing, singing, musicals and plays.

Surviving are two children, Donald Nicholls and wife Michelle of Coralville, and Alicia Pasker and husband Paul of Bettendorf; six grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Gott and wife Sue of Nebraska, and Gene Lyons of Oklahoma; and two sisters, Deb Baker and husband Don of Delaware, and Mary Shockley and husband Mike of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
