Pauline Anita Hite

      Pauline Anita Hite, 86, of Washington died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 in the Washington County Hospital.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Dennis Fox officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday in the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Memorials may be made to HACAP in Washington and Handicapped Development Center in Davenport.

      Mrs. Hite was born Jan. 26, 1921 in Rose Hill, the daughter of James Alex and Verla Margaret (Stout) Gable. She married Arthur Hugh Hite in Kirkwood, Mo. He was killed in combat on May 22, 1945.
