Pauline Ellen Crooks

      KEOTA - Pauline Ellen Crooks, 86, of Washington, former of Harper, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Washington Care Center in Washington, following a long battle with cancer.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries-St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County.

      Mrs. Crooks was born June 8, 1922, in Commerce, the daughter of Latta and Lanora (Bertrand) Acheson. She married Cloyce I. Crooks on May 27, 1944, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper.
