PAULINE GINGERICH Washington, IA Pauline Marie Gingerich, 80 of Washington, formally of Wellman, died Friday, December 7, 2018 at McCreedy Home in Washington. Funeral Services set for 3:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with Pastor Joseph and Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pauline was born December 1, 1938 in Columbus Juction, Iowa the daughter of Rodney and Eva (Wagner) Swailes. She attended Frog Pond School and graduated from Columbus Juction High School. She was united in marriage to Orval D. Gingerich September 23, 1962. She was a faithful member of Marian Ave Baptist Church, Jolly 60s group, bus captain on the Lone Tree bus route for the church and cooked for the bus drivers. Pauline was employed with Owens Brush, Oral B in Iowa City for 36 years and later Kalona Plastics. Survivors include daughter Mary Feeney of Iowa City, son Brian Gingerich of Iowa City; sister Ruth Lukins (Dick) of Columbus Junction, and grandaughter Lillianna Gingerich-Allen She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orval, 2 brothers, Raymond and Henry, sister Eveyln Gingerich.
