Pauline Fern Yoder, the daughter of Murrie S. and Katie Miller, was born February 9, 1921 in rural Wellman, Iowa. At 20 years of age, on July 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Lester D. Yoder. She devoted her life to her family and her church. She supported Lester with the developing family business, was a member of the WMSC, MCC sale quilt committee, and taught Sunday school. God gave Pauline the gift and enthusiasm for quilting, sewing, cooking, and baking; and blessed us with many works of art throughout her life. She passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Pleasantview Home in Kalona from pneumonia at the age of 98 years.

Pauline is survived by four children: Loran (April) Yoder of Frytown; Joyce Yoder of Bethesda, Maryland; Shirley Yoder Bell of Frytown; Damon (Jan) Yoder of St. Charles, Illinois; and seven grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona.
