Pearl K. Arnold, 95, of Brighton, died early Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. She was born to Roy J. and Kasylda Dorothy Peck Lamansky and raised south of Brighton. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1945, attended Ottumwa Heights College and graduated as an elementary school teacher. She married Roger “Pete” Arnold on June 1, 1949; he died January 14, 2014. Pearl was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, the Brighton Librarian for several years and enjoyed playing the piano for the U.P. Home.
Pearl is survived by her children: Sally Ogden (Terry) of Watkins, CO, Mary Arnold of Deer Trail, CO, Bill Arnold (Nancy) of Harrisburg, NE, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and 14 fur babies (the favorite is Boone). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete, sons Bob and Tom, and siblings Jim, Don, Susan, Maryann, Roaslie and Esther.
Memorial services will be held at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023, with Chaplin Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Burial at a later date at Brighton Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials to the family may be mailed to MK Arnold at P.O. Box 436, Deer Trail, CO 80105. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
