Peiffer, Thomas Emil

Tom Peiffer, 73, of Washington Iowa passed away Sunday June 25th 2017 in his home with his family at his side. Tom?s death was preceded by his parents Emil and Leona Peiffer and brothers Bill and Steve. He is survived by his daughter Carmen Smith and son Scott Peiffer and brothers Jim, Jack, Fritz, Michael and sisters Pat Morrison, Mary Jo Dawe and Jean Hays.

Tom was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Tom loved his family, gardening and hummingbirds. He served many years with the Kiwanis organization championing scholarships for high school students. Tom enjoyed restoring antiques and collecting telephones and lived in Washington State most of the last 40 years. He shared fond memories of Iowa and his life on the farm with his children and grandchildren and remained a Hawkeye fan to the end.

Tom?s remains will be placed with his parents later this summer
