Phil Zihlman
BRIGHTON - Phil Zihlman, 67, formerly of Brighton, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, in the Clarinda Mental Health Institute in Clarinda, where he had resided since August 2006.
The body has been cremated. A memorials service and burial will be held at a later date. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the WACO School District Industrial Arts/Auto Shop or to the family.
Mr. Zihlman was born Oct. 7, 1941 in Washington, the son of Howard and Geneva (Eyestone) Zihlman. He married Thelma Vorhies on Dec. 8, 1963 in Germanville. They later divorced.
