Phil Zihlman

      Phil Zihlman, 67, formerly of Brighton, died early Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Clarinda Mental Health Institute in Clarinda.

      A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

      A memorial has been established for the WACO School District industrial arts/auto shop. Memorials may be mailed to the family at 3304 Highway 78, Brighton 52540.

      Arrangements have been in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

      Mr. Zihlman was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Washington, the son of Howard and Geneva Eyestone Zihlman. He married Thelma Vorhies Dec. 8, 1963, in Germanville. They were later divorced.
