R. Dean Luers

      R. Dean Luers, 72, of rural Brighton, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, on his farm from an accidental fall.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Don Collings officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in rural Brighton. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Give Kids the World in honor of Conrad Luers or to the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association.

      Mr. Luers was born Dec. 6, 1935 in Washington, the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Robinson) Luers. He married Rosemary Smith on Dec. 9, 1956 in Mt. Pleasant.
