R. Ted Abernethy
R. Ted Abernethy, 86, of Galesburg, Ill., died at 7:54 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, at the Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Ill., with the Rev. David Kniker officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg, with military rites conducted by the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285 of Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church in Galesburg.
