Racheal M. Butler July 19, 1929 - August 5, 2005

      Racheal Murphy Butler, 76, of Burlington, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 at West Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mary Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the West Hill United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.

      Survivors include two sons, Brian R. Butler and Donald Butler, both of Burlington; two daughters, Judy Erickson of Burlington, and Jill Butler of Marion; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Murphy of Burlington.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers and a sister.
